General Information FAQs

I purchased a pack a while back and I’m not seeing it on your website. Do you still carry it?

The majority of our packs are redesigned each year. If your pack is not featured on our website, then it has been discontinued.

Do your bottles and hydration bladders contain BPA?

All of our Triton™ plastic & stainless steel bottles are completely BPA and phthalate free. Our hydration bladders are also 100% FDA approved, BPA and phthalate free.

How do I know if my Outdoor Product purchase is covered by a warranty?

All of our non-wheeled, soft goods such as backpacks, waist packs, hydration packs, and duffles are covered under our Plain & Simple Guarantee. All other products such as wheeled items and hard goods have limited warranties and replacement is not guaranteed.

Am I responsible for paying for the cost of shipping a defective item to Outdoor Products?

Yes, the customer is first responsible for submitting evidence that the product is defective. Replacements are not shipped for free and will start at $9.99 for shipping.

Do I need to register my product for warranty?

Product registration is not necessary.

I need a part replaced on one of my Outdoor Products purchases – how do I go about this?

Unfortunately we do not manufacture replacement parts. If you would like to claim warranty on the product, please refer to our website for warranty information and product replacement at www.outdoorproducts.com. Go to "warranties" and follow the instructions for the Plain + Simple Lifetime Guarantee. You will need to return the product back to the company for replacement.

How do I get a replacement for my defective bite valve?

Please visit our website at www.outdoorproducts.com . Simply fill out the Bite Valve Replacement form and we will ship one out to you.

How long does it take to get my replacement?

It normally will take about 7-10 days to ship your replacement.

Will Outdoor Products honor the Lifetime Guarantee if modifications have been done to the item?

Any repairs, modifications and alterations done by someone other than Outdoor Products will void the Lifetime Guarantee.

Will you repair my item?

Outdoor Products at it's sole discretion will either ship a replacement to you or provide you with a voucher code with an amount to purchase a replacement on our Outdoor Products site. Under no circumstance will we repair the item as we lack the facilities to do so. Please remember than any pack sent back to us will be destroyed.

My hydration reservoir is leaking from the cap; does the cap have an o-ring or a gasket?

If you experience leaking from your hydration reservoir cap, first firmly tighten the cap and check again for leaks. The caps must be firmly tightened in order to function properly. If you still experience leakage with the cap, please send us a message via the contact form.

How do I clean my backpack or waist pack?

Using a mild soap (never use detergent or solvents) and a damp sponge, wipe out the outside and the inside of the bag. Be sure to completely air dry the pack with zippers open prior to storing. Stubborn stains may require scrubbing with a soft bristle nylon brush. However, please note that excessive cleaning and heat may damage the protective fabric coatings as it is not recommended. Never clean your pack using a washer or dryer. Store your packs in a clean, dry place.

How do I clean my stainless steel or plastic water bottle?

Hand wash using a liquid dish soap and soft, non-abrasive sponge. For thorough Cleaning, substitute the liquid dish soap for a mixture of baking soda & water. Air dry with the cap off.

How do I clean my hydration reservoir?

Mix together 2 liters of water and one to two tablespoons of baking soda. Pour mixture into the body of bladder and tighten the cap. Shake, empty, and rinse. If you have substantial reservoir build-up, scrub all parts of the reservoir with the water and baking soda mixture. To dry out the reservoir, make sure that all excess water is emptied then pull reservoir open. Hang to dry with cap off.

Will juice or alcohol damage my hydration reservoir?

Avoid storing juice and alcohol in your hydration reservoirs. The acidity of these fluids may cause deterioration of the reservoir.

Am I responsible for paying for the cost of shipping a defective item to Outdoor Products?

Yes, the customer is responsible for the associated shipping costs when returning a defective product. These costs are not reimbursed. We will, however, cover the return shipping costs for your replacement item in the United States.
